Menopause Belly Fat Loss
Researchers discover a menopause belly fat reducer for women struggling to lose abdominal fat! Have researchers stumbled across a possible belly fat "cure" for menopausal women struggling to lose menopause belly fat – the most stubborn belly fat? It seems that way according to the results of a recent study out of Ohio State University! Soon to be published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, the OSU study showed that approximately 2 tsp. of safflower oil taken daily by a group of post menopausal women with Type 2 diabetes (possibly the most stubborn belly fat in the world!) showed impressive results in the reduction of menopause belly fat. What was also interesting about this study was that these results were attained without the participants having to change their exercise or dietary habits in any way! When the study compared to CLA (conjugated linoleic acid), a more common weight loss supplement, to ordinary safflower oil, it was shown that safflower oil was more effective at targeting belly fat in particular. To be clear, belly fat loss (not overall body fat) was significantly increased with the daily use of safflower oil. Ohio State University’s Martha Belury, Ph.D. states… “…Safflower oil supplementation showed no effect on total body fat readings, but reduced the weight of trunk fat tissue by between 2.6 pounds and 4.2 pounds, or an average of 6.3 percent. It also increased lean tissue, or muscle, by between an average of about 1.4 pounds and 3 pounds….” Safflower Oil targets menopause belly fat Safflower oil increases the production of belly fat hormones – in particular, a hormone produced in fat cells called adiponcetin. Now, there are two good reasons why you’d want to increase adiponectin levels in your body….especially if you’re struggling to lose abdominal fat. First, higher adiponectin levels in your body have been shown to have an effect on controlling and regulating insulin production – and better insulin control means less belly fat storage. Secondly, adiponectin signals the body to use fat for fuel rather than store it – so rather than encouraging more fat storage, it will actually increase fat burning instead. “…safflower oil increased a hormone called adiponectin. Increasing this hormone may have instilled an improved ability to burn dietary fats” … states Ohio State University’s Martha Belury, Ph.D. who says she hopes to investigate this more in a follow-up study. Safflower oil helps you lose menopause belly fat – and it’s easy! Adding 2 tsp. of safflower oil to your diet plan is so easy – just dress your salads with safflower oil, use it for cooking, or mix it into a protein shake. Adding safflower oil to your diet is inexpensive and you can buy it at your local grocery store - unlike many expensive weight loss supplements that often promise so much as deliver so much less. It can make a real difference and help to enhance belly fat loss if you include it as part of a healthy diet plan, but as always, check with your doctor and/or a dietician before you make any changes to your diet.
