Use purified water. Tap water contains chlorine and other chemicals that can dramatically affect the taste.
Avoid using boiling hot water when you steep your tea. Boiling water may cause the tea to lose its health properties.
Green tea’s delicate taste quality is also better preserved when you don’t bring the water to a full boil.
Rapid Weight Loss Ideas: Green tea is a great source of cancer-fighting catechins, however only 20 percent survive the digestive process and make it out to your body to do it any good. A Purdue University study found that squeezing lemon juice into your green tea toughens up catechins, boosting the number you digest up to 13 times. (Source – Women’s Health)
You can use loose tea leaves or bagged brands.
Decaffeinated green tea is also available for those who wish to avoid caffeine.
